OptiMed

A doctor member of a medical network as your first point of contact

This model is particularly interesting if you are looking for a new family doctor. It allows you to choose a doctor from one of the OptiMed lists: this doctor then becomes your first point of contact. You must always consult this doctor first in all medical matters.

A solid network at the service of your health: these are your advantages

  • You benefit from a reduction in your premiums of up to 26% compared with the standard model.
  • You benefit from the sharing of experience between doctors who belong to the same network.
  • OptiMed makes it easy for you to choose a new regular family doctor or to choose our telemedicine partner Medgate as your family doctor.(1)
  • What's more, you always have the option of having (optional) deductible-free teleconsultations via the platform www.soignez-moi.ch.(1)

How does OptiMed work?

A solution for every situation

Here is  a  concrete example of how the OptiMed model can be used

Carla
Carla, aged 35,has a number of health problems and has to make frequent visits to the doctor.

First point of contact
Carla had been feeling exhausted for several weeks. She makes an appointment with her long-standing family doctor, with whom she has developed a relationship of trust.

Carla's doctor is aware of her situation and quickly identifies the cause of her symptoms. He adapts her medication and refers her to a specialist.

Conditions that are easy to follow

  • 1. If you have a medical problem or question, your first point of contact is always the family doctor you have indicated to us beforehand. For adults, the family doctor you choose must appear on one of the OptiMed lists. For children, the general practitioner may be chosen as you wish, but you need to send us the doctor’s details.
  • 2. If necessary, the doctor will refer you to a specialist or a medical facility.
  • 3. In case of emergency and some other situations, you do not need to comply with the requirements of your model. You can find more information in the section “How the OptiMed model works” above.

If the conditions of the model are not followed:

Letters concerning your insurance model will be sent to you and a transfer to the standard basic insurance model may be made, in accordance with the terms and conditions of insurance. The reduction applied to your premiums will unfortunately no longer be granted until the end of the year in question, but you will benefit from a free choice of doctor.
