Global AMB supplemental insurance

Global AMB supplemental insurance is designed to be an addition to your basic insurance with AMB Assurances SA. You will be covered for stays in hospital and outpatient treatment, with an option for alternative medicine.

You can include alternative medicine benefits, if you wish.
Two discounts are available: on your children's premiums and on the periods during which you did not claim benefits.

Main benefits covered

You can apply for Global AMB supplemental insurance if you have taken out basic insurance with AMB Assurances SA (available in the Valais canton only). This supplemental insurance can be taken out at any age. It provides cover in the event of illness, maternity and accident.

How do I know if an alternative medicine treatment/therapist is approved?

Please contact our services or use our search tool to check whether the therapist and treatment are recognised by Groupe Mutuel and that your supplemental insurance is intended for this purpose.

Where can I go for a cure?

Before applying for a cure, your doctor must send us a request for coverage, mentioning the name of the spa facilities so that we may check whether they are recognised.

What coverage does basic health insurance provide for hospitalisation in my canton?

Your basic insurance covers standard hospital care in the general ward of a hospital listed by your canton of residence (Art. 41, para. 1bis LAMal/KVG).
