  • During a hospital stay, you will be in a two-bed room and thus enjoy greater comfort.
  • You can freely choose your hospital or clinic throughout Switzerland from the list of approved hospitals. You can also decide which specialist you would like to be treated by.
  • You will benefit from a number of additional benefits with reimbursement of costs: for example, for restricted and non-reimbursable drugs, alternative medicine, prevention, glasses and contact lenses.

You can take out Global mi-privée coverage up to the age of 55. The insurance coverage is valid in the event of illness, accident or pregnancy.

Frequently asked questions

If you only have basic insurance, you can be admitted to a clinic providing you stay in a general ward and that the clinic is listed by your canton of residence (Art. 41, para. 1bis LAMal/KVG).
If not, you must have supplemental insurance to cover the costs of a semi-private or private room.

You can take out prenatal insurance for your unborn baby. This will allow you to choose your child's coverage during your pregnancy. Your advantages: you avoid filling out a medical questionnaire and your child will be insured as soon as he or she is born, regardless of his or her state of health. You will receive the gift "Sophie la Girafe" after the birth of your baby.
In addition, if you sign up to "Dentaire Plus 2" and "Mundo" supplemental insurance before your child's birth, you will benefit from free premiums during your child’s first three years.

Your basic insurance covers standard hospital care in the general ward of a hospital listed by your canton of residence (Art. 41, para. 1bis LAMal/KVG).
